TEDxSantaCruz Announces Free Live Stream of TEDxWomen

On December 1st, TEDxWomen takes place, focusing on how women and girls are shaping our shared future. Around the world, over 100 TEDx communities will share the live stream, including TEDxSantaCruz.  On December 1st from 11 am to 7 pm at the Scotts Valley Library this all-day event will feature live streaming and moderated conversations with local women leaders.

TEDxWomen — hosted by Pat Mitchell — is a one-day bi-coastal event taking place on December 1, 2011 at the Paley Center in New York and Los Angeles. TEDxWomen will live stream from the Paley Centers in New York and Los Angeles to the global TEDx community. Organizers of TEDxWomen events will watch the livestream of TEDxWomen, and have the opportunity to host local speakers on women’s issues.

Speakers including Barbara Walters, singer-songwriter Morley, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Jane Fonda, Gloria Steinem and documentarian Jennifer Siebel Newsom will convene under the theme “The Conversation Continues.”

TEDxWomen’s Santa Cruz live streaming will continue the conversation and strengthen the 100+ communities that TEDWomen brought together, working alongside the TEDx team to re-connect these communities of TEDx events around the world. TEDxSantaCruz: Engage! presenters, Lori Butterworth, Heidi Boynton, Nancy Abrams, and Rebecca Costa will be at the event to share what they’ve been up to since last June.
