TEDxSantaCruz organizers and speakers are available for interviews. If you want more information about TEDx and our events or speakers, please don't hesitate to ask. Contact us in advance for scheduling of interviews or attendance at events.
For further information about TEDxSantaCruz events, to request a press pass, or to schedule interviews with organizers or speakers, please send an email to tedxscruz@gmail.com with ‘PRESS’ in the subject line.
Please note that TEDx event organizers are not able to speak for the TED Conference. Any journalist seeking comment from TED should contact Melody Serafino at tedxpr@ted.com.
While we appreciate any coverage, we kindly ask that all journalists and/or bloggers be respectful of the difference between the TED and TEDx brands. The ‘x’ in ‘TEDx’ stands for “independently organized events.” Any headline or text which implies “TED” is coming to Santa Cruz is misleading. TEDxSantaCruz Announces Free Webcast of TED2012

On March 1, 2012, TEDxSantaCruz will share the TED 2012 Conference with a public webcast at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History from 10 am to 7 pm. Each year, the world’s leading thinkers and doers gather for the TED Conference, an event many describe as “the ultimate brain spa and a 4-day journey into the future, in the company of those creating it.” This year, the theme is “Full Spectrum.” Content will span the full spectrum of knowledge TED stands for, from dazzling technology and leading-edge science to the richest veins of human creativity and interconnection, offering the most important things that bring attendees back every year: Inspiration. Wonder. Authenticity. A hunger to learn.

TEDxSantaCruz is licensed to share the videotaped presentations from the second day of the TED Conference and will be hosting this event for the Santa Cruz community. There will be several breaks and one-hour for lunch on your own. Attendees may bring food to eat at the museum or enjoy lunch with fellow audience members in downtown Santa Cruz.

To attend the event, please register at https://tedxsantacruz.org/engage/events/. Seating is limited and tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no charge, but a $5 donation is suggested for this event—TEDxSantaCruz is sponsoring free admission to the museum all day.
