Jazz vocalist Ed Reed was voted "No. 1 rising star" in the male vocalist category at age 86. But before that he was a heroin addict for 40 years and in prison four times from 1951 to 1966. After passing through dozens of treatment programs and voluntary mental health institutions until 1986, he finally got into recovery and began his music career.
